Basic tips about white mutton recipe
Here we are making white mutton recipe, be remember not white mutton curry.
First most important tips is, don’t add yogurt in it, it give you white mutton curry instead of white mutton dish which give you spicy and delicious taste.
Always use mutton with bones. You can also use both mutton/lamb.it give you delicious taste instead of boneless mutton.
Do not use onions in excess it give a sweet taste to your mutton recipe.
You can only use black pepper in white mutton recipe if you have no availability of white pepper.
Ingredients
Mutton | 1kg | Ginger paste | 1teaspoon |
Garlic paste | 1teaspoon | Medium onion | Sliced cut |
Green chili paste | 1 teaspoon | Cashew nuts (peeled) | 50g
|
Tomatoes | 225grams | Almonds (peeled) | 50g
|
Coconut powder | 50 grams | Oil /ghee | 1cup |
Fresh cream | 1 cup | Peanuts (peeled) | 50g |
Poppy seeds (khus khas) | 1tbspoon | Salt (to taste) or | 1 teaspoon |
White pepper | 1 teaspoon | Black pepper | ½ teaspoon |
Instructions
- Combine cashew nuts, almonds, peanuts and poppy seeds in a food processor. Grind them to make a fine paste and keep aside.
- Place a pan on medium flame and heat ½ cup oil.
- Add mutton in it and fry for 5-10 minutes.
- Add ginger paste, garlic paste green chili paste, salt and fry for 1-2 minutes on high flame.
- Add 2 cup water, stir well to mix, cover the lid and cook until the meat turns tender.
- Remove the pan from the fire and set as aside.
- Heat remaining ½ cup of oil in a separate pan.
- Add groundnut paste and fry it on low flame, stir nonstop, sprinkle water to avoid paste from burning.
- Add tomatoes and mutton and cook for another 10 minutes. Now add fresh cream in it and Cook till the gravy turns thick and oil becomes separate on the upper side in the form of oily layer. Now white mutton recipe is ready.
Serving suggestions
Garnish white mutton recipe with chopped green chilies, coriander leaves and crushed mint leaves as well as small pieces of ginger.
Serve hot with chapattis/pulkas/white bread.
